UMTS Global modem not detected

Only for eWON with a UMTS Global modem, Product reference EWxx2xB, if you put a backup holding a wrong AT_string, the UMTS Global modem (Telit UC864-G) can reset its communication speed to 115200 Bauds and then, eWON will not be able to communicate with it.
You have the following messages in the event log.UMTSGlobal-1.png 

 

To reset back the modem COM speed to its normal speed (230400 Bauds), follow these steps:

  1. extract the zip file
    UMTSGlobal-COMSpeedUpdater.zip for eWON with a serial port ( EWxx20x )
    UMTSGlobal-MPI-COMSpeedUpdater.zip for eWON with a MPI port ( EWxx26x )
     
  2. By FTP, drop the  /step1/remote.bas  in the root of eWON
     
  3. wait 3 minutes (that eWON reboot itself and finish all its start operation)
     
  4. By FTP, drop the  /step2/remote.bas  in the root of eWON


Well done ... after the reboot of the eWON, it will detect correctly the modem.
