This error message can appear when you configured your eWON to recieve its IP address from a DHCP server, so not with a static IP address.

The error message indicates that eWON did not recieve an answer back from the DHCP server.
The reason for this can be multiple:
- eWON WAN Interface is not connected to the network.
- There does not exist an DHCP server on the network.
- The eWON DHCP request timed out. By default eWON will wait 45 seconds for an answer from the DHCP server. If you are on a slow network or if the DHCP server does only reply after 45 seconds then you will need to increase the timeout parameter to make it work (How to increase the DHCP timeout).
- eWON is not compatible with the DHCP server. You will need to define a static IP address for the eWON interface.
